NOTES

Osamu Tezuka brought about a revolution on an expressiveness of cartoon by writing a 200-page long piece of work in 1946, “NEW TREASURE ISLAND”. The work adopted dramatically the expressiveness like a cinema; the various cutting and composition, the speedy development of story, and so on. On the other hand, he was enthusiastic about the construction of Japanimation because he had admired Walt Disney since his childhood. In Okinawa International Movie Festival, his experimental animations and interview in his lifetime are to be screened in praise of his great contribution.
